Winter Recreation on the Hank Aaron State Trail
The Trail west of 37th Street, the Brewers Stadium Spur by American Family Field, and the Three Bridges Park Spur are not maintained but are not closed. View these segments on the Trail map. The City of Milwaukee and adjacent property owners generally clear the Trail from Selig Drive east, making them more accessible for winter biking. Trails may be snow and ice-covered, muddy and slippery during winter.

Cross County Skiing, Snowshoeing, & Winter Hiking
There are no groomed or tracked cross-country ski trails exclusively for skiers. The Trail west of 37th Street, the Brewers Stadium Spur by American Family Field, and the Three Bridges Park Spur are not plowed and are open to all non-motorized users, including skiers, hikers, and snowshoers.
Start of the Brewers Stadium Segment from the Silver City pedestrian bridge at 3711 W Canal Street. Park on the street.
Start of the Three Bridges Park Segment from the Valley Passage. Park at 3711 W Canal Street and cross the bridge or park near the Urban Ecology Center at 3700 W Pierce Street and enter the trail there. You can also head west of 37th here on the unplowed section of the trail.

Three Bridges Park features a paved spur of the Hank Aaron State Trail and many other unpaved trails throughout the park.
Winter Biking
The City of Milwaukee and adjacent property owners generally clear the Trail from Selig Drive east, making them more accessible for winter biking with a standard bike. The Trail west of 37th Street, the Brewers Stadium Spur by American Family Field, and the Three Bridges Park Spur are not maintained during winter.
Trails may be snow and ice-covered, muddy and slippery during winter.

Winter History Hike
The area around the Trail is filled with history - and the Hank Aaron State Trail will take you to nine points of interest on a 2.2 mile route. When there’s snow on the ground, this route can be a bit challenging! Grab your snowshoes!
Public Art Hike
The Trail features art by local as well as national artists. Most pieces are related to local culture, history, or nature.
Take an epic one day hike or divide it up for a few outings!
Hike to the Domes
This two mile loop takes you through the beautiful prairie of Three Bridges Park with a stop at the Mitchell Park Horticultural Domes. Stop at the Domes to feel the heat of a desert oasis or a tropical jungle!
